Valentine's Dance

Gage has been taking an etiquette class since August called Junior Cotillions. They had a Valentine's dance on Sunday and it was sooo cute! They have been practicing the fox-trot, cha-cha, and shag for weeks so they could do it at the dance. At the end the boys danced with their moms and the girls danced with their dads - it was very sweet.

Griffin Looses a Tooth!

Griffin lost his first tooth this weekend and had his first visit from the tooth-fairy. Now he's officially a big boy. The other picture is Griffin sneaking up on the counter to lick the brownie bowl. I was suspicious he was into something because he had been quiet for too long. When I walked in to check on him he had climbed onto the counter all by himself and was scraping his finger across the bowl. I managed to grab the camera and snap a picture before he knew I was watching.

Sick

Gage and Griffin had to go to the doctor yesterday. Gage has a sinus infection and Griffin just has allergies. Griffin came home from school today and said he put Gage on their prayer list because he's sick - that was so thoughtful of him! Fortunately, we hardly ever go to the doctor for a sick visit anymore. The first year of Gage's life I felt like the pediatrician's office was my second home. I haven't taken any pictures lately, the dolphins are from our Sea World vacation last spring break. The other one is Griffin feeding the deer when we went to Fripp Island over the summer. We had such a good time while we were there - its very family oriented.

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. The kids always get new pajamas to open on Christmas eve. Gage has been getting them long enough to know the Christmas eve present is always PJs but Griffin hasn't quite figured that out yet. He was so excited that we were letting him open a present early and when he saw what it was he said "What, pajamas for Christmas?" Next year maybe he will remember so he won't be disappointed when he sees his pajamas. Gage was very excited that he got the wii he thought he wasn't getting. Thanks to dad standing in line for 4 hours at Toys R Us, I guess we'll do anything to see our kids happy! Griffin has been playing his drum set nonstop since Christmas, Santa should have put some tylenol in mom and dad's stocking to go with those drums.

Christmas with the Family

We had our annual Christmas gathering with Gene's family. Dean and Rachel graciously host this party every year. It's so nice to have all of the family together- the kids all get to play together and they really enjoy it. As usual, we had a mound of gifts to exchange, wonderful food to eat, and a good time being together. Afterwards we came home and unpacked all of the gifts and put a few toys together so the boys could play a little before bed time. We have our last Christmas party in the morning with our Sunday school class -I think I'm finally ready for Christmas!

Christmas Play

Griffin's class had a Christmas play Tuesday night. They did a manger scene and he was a wiseman. They sang Christmas songs and it was precious. He has been nervous about performing in front of a lot of people but he did a wonderful job. He has been practicing all of his songs lately and it is so funny to hear him walking around the house singing Christmas songs.

Happy Holidays

We have been putting out Christmas decorations for over a week now and we're almost done! Now, I just have to finish all of my shopping - if there's a such thing as finishing. Everytime I think I'm done buying for Gene and the boys, I find one more thing to get for them. Gage and Griffin are excited about Santa coming, I'm pretty sure Gage has it figured out but I'm not confessing until next year. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
