Christmas with the Family

We had our annual Christmas gathering with Gene's family. Dean and Rachel graciously host this party every year. It's so nice to have all of the family together- the kids all get to play together and they really enjoy it. As usual, we had a mound of gifts to exchange, wonderful food to eat, and a good time being together. Afterwards we came home and unpacked all of the gifts and put a few toys together so the boys could play a little before bed time. We have our last Christmas party in the morning with our Sunday school class -I think I'm finally ready for Christmas!

Christmas Play

Griffin's class had a Christmas play Tuesday night. They did a manger scene and he was a wiseman. They sang Christmas songs and it was precious. He has been nervous about performing in front of a lot of people but he did a wonderful job. He has been practicing all of his songs lately and it is so funny to hear him walking around the house singing Christmas songs.

Happy Holidays

We have been putting out Christmas decorations for over a week now and we're almost done! Now, I just have to finish all of my shopping - if there's a such thing as finishing. Everytime I think I'm done buying for Gene and the boys, I find one more thing to get for them. Gage and Griffin are excited about Santa coming, I'm pretty sure Gage has it figured out but I'm not confessing until next year. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

New Undies

I bought Griffin a pair of boxer briefs and he is just as happy as can be! He's very proud and looks really cute wearing them! The other picture is from the Carolina-Clemson game. We took Gage and Griffin, we had a great time and they were really good. Griffin was the most upset that we lost, which was cute since I don't think he even understands the whole rivalry concept.

Not Really Bunco

I hosted Bunco at my house this month - Although we never actually played Bunco. Instead we played Scene It and I'm not sure if it was any easier than Bunco! We had a good time socializing and just hanging out with the girls! Between that and the three birthday parties the kids went to, we had a pretty busy weekend.

Go Gamecocks!

We took the boys to the Gamecock call in show at Wild Wings Thursday night and we had a blast! Gage got Steve Spurrier's autograph and we had a visit from cocky and got his autograph too. Griffin always wants to go on the field and play with cocky when we go to the games so I'm glad he finally got to meet him!

More Baseball and Hunting Too

Gage's team played in their last tournament for the year this past weekend. They were runners up for the championship. It will be nice to have a break from practicing - and of course to have our weekends free. Spring baseball will be here before you know it, and I will have two playing then. I guess I should enjoy the break while I can! Gage has been deer hunting for the past two weeks. Although he's seen a few does he decided not to shoot them, he says he's holding out for the "big" one. Oh yeah, Gene took Gage and Griffin hunting Tuesday but I don't have any pictures - it wasn't a very pleasant experience since Griffin apparently talked and moved the whole time.

Halloween

We had a fall festival at our church so I had to dress up this year (Dora the explorer, just in case you didn't know). We all had a good time. The kids got a lot of candy. Gene took them around the church to trick or treat while I ran one of the rooms. Afterwards, we took them by a few houses to get even more candy. Then it was off to bed for a very sleepy cowboy and baseball player! The pumpkin was a project Gage had to make for school to resemble a character in a book he read, I thought it was cute.

Griffin Gets Glasses

Griffin took his first trip to the eye doctor this week and got glasses. He was really excited about getting them until they came in. Now he keeps asking if he can take them off. I think he looks cute with them on. Gage has been wearing his too, rather than contacts to help Griffin feel better.

Pumpkins, Cowboys, and Suits

Griffin went on a field trip to McBee farms this week. You can see he wanted to pick just the right pumpkin! He dressed up like a cowboy and gave us a concert after the game on Saturday. We needed something to cheer us up after that loss to Vanderbilt. Gage is all dressed up to go to Jr. Cotillions, which is an etiquette class he takes, he looks so handsome!

The Fair and Baseball

Gage is playing traveling baseball for the Demon-Dogs and we have to go out of town every other weekend for a tournament. Luckily, we didn't have to travel very far this weekend - they played in Lexington. They won the championship and Gage had a great tournament. That's always a good thing because he's grumpy when he doesn't play well (Sounds like someone else I know). He made diving catches in outfield and got a hit everytime he came up to bat! We also went to the fair and met up with Summer and her parents. Summer has been Griffin's "BFF" since they were 6 months old at daycare. We had a good time at the fair although we never made it out of the kiddie area. I got to do my favorite thing, which is eat all of that healthy food.

Carolina Football

The two cutest Gamecock fans I've ever seen! I'm starting this blog and I haven't taken any pictures at the game yet this year, so here's one from last year!

This is the first weekend since I can't remember when that we did not have anywhere to be. The boys played some football and we just relaxed. We're grilling out tonight while we watch football on TV - I just can't get away from it:)
